First player in history to milk an injury for an entire season and then immediately be cured in time for the playoffs? |

Yeah it really is no secret what this team did.
He was immediately ready to go game 1. He was ready probably 1 month prior to playoffs beginning.
NHL needs to fix this. They absolutely found a loophole and should be considered an act of bad faith of the CBA. |

NHL NEEDS TO HAVE A 10 GAME MINIMUM PLAYED IN THE REGULAR SEASON TO BE ELIGABLE FOR THE PLAY-OFFS! |

It only worked out for TB because of the shortened season. In a normal season they would’ve had to move a couple of players before/when Kucherov came back with a month or two still left in the season. It certainly would be a different looking roster in a normal length season, but it is what it is with the shortened season.
TB didn’t break any rules. Things have aligned that gave them another Cup run with a roster that they “shouldn’t” have been able to keep intact.
Someone is just gonna have to knock them off. |

So, you know better than league and team doctors?
I guess you are the type to watch a YouTube video and think you know better than doctors, scientists, and experts.

I don't think any team is knocking Tampa off. It's like I said before the playoffs started. Tampa can be beaten. But who's beating them 4 times? No one. |

Responses that suggest something was done wrong simply express willful ignorance. I've even heard people say that the team talked him into having surgery to beat the cap. Every point is ridiculous. No one has unnecessary surgery, and there's no way someone, esp an elite player like Kucherov, is going to have surgery where if something goes wrong it could affect the rest of his career, or worse.
If you're saying things were done "shady" you're making a fool of yourself. It doesn't matter how many people agree with you....it doesn't change the fact that it's foolish and idiotic. |

Had an opportunity with Vasy having a very rare off day and Canes shat all over themselves to let Tampa right back into it.
There's no shame in losing to the Lightning. There isn't a bad player anywhere on the roster. |

Schenn, McElsievey and Rutta? I can't think of anyone else. Savard hasn't been very good when he's played. Even Rutta has been good for Rutta. |

Okay but he barely plays and when he does it's with Hedman.
I dunno, even the worst guys are "serviceable" or can be sheltered pretty easily by the rest of the roster.
With Nino and Trocheck canes could at least hang with them and try to make the tight games into a coin flip.
Without them it's next to impossible. Just not enough talent to counterpunch effectively when those guys are out. |

Has anyone else noticed what a (frank)ing absolute beast McDonagh has been this postseason?
It's almost as if the staff told Hedman and McDonagh to switch roles. Hedman is playing more conservatively while nursing his unspecified injury. Meanwhile, McDonagh is all over the place - pinching down low, joining (or leading) the rush, and doing all his usual shot-blocking and shutdown defense at the same time. He's also been laying down some brutal checks. His name might not be showing up on the scoresheet, but he's playing like he's worth every bit of that contract.

He might also be healthy. McD had some mobility issues the last two years just from watching him. |

Yeah RMD is still a defensive stud. He was definitely playing injured in last year's Cup run. He's basically shutting everything down right now. |

Yeah he's been a royal pain in the ass.
Seems to be moving a lot better than he was the past couple years. Definitely been anchoring that defense. |

Yep. like trying to beat Vasi for four games. Really like this Bolts team. Wish my Leafs were forced to watch them play for a bit. Might be contagious. |

They just have to lock it down now. Avoid penalties and don't give them an inch to get the crowd going.
